Eliana Perez is an artist living and working in New York City. Born in Mexico and raised in the Dominican Republic, with ancestral roots tracing back to Lebanon, her diverse heritage is the cornerstone of her identity. She received her Master's Degree in Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art, and her Bachelor's Degrees from the School of Design Altos de Chavón and Parsons School of Design.

At the core of Perez's artistic practice is an ongoing dialogue with these multifaceted roots. This multicultural background is a vital aspect of her iconography; her work weaves together visual elements of her Lebanese ancestry, Mexican birth, and Dominican upbringing to create a highly personal visual language. Her paintings articulate how this rich heritage has been further molded by the dynamic inspiration of her life as a New Yorker, reflecting the intersection of memory, origin, and her present environment.

Perez has an extensive international exhibition record, with her work featured at Christie’s in New York, the Altos de Chavón Gallery in the Dominican Republic, Spazio AV in Venice, Italy, and at various art fairs in Miami.

Beyond her work in the studio, Perez is a highly dedicated educator. She serves as a faculty member at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, where she teaches foundation drawing and design. Passionate about community access to the arts, Perez is also the co-founder of a New York-based art atelier that offers private art classes in both English and Spanish. She established this bilingual space to ensure that Spanish speakers in New York have the opportunity to access high-level, professional art instruction. For the atelier, Perez developed a carefully curated curriculum drawn directly from her own rigorous academic training and MFA studies. Expanding on this mission, she also travels internationally to provide artistic resources to communities where they are currently underdeveloped
